On Monday, all of the justices on the Georgia Supreme Court said no to former President Donald Trump’s request to remove Fulton County District Attorney Fannie Willis from her job and throw out the grand jury report.
The Supreme Court has dealt a big blow to former US President Donald Trump. A Georgia court denied a request to stop the probe into Trump’s election. Donald Trump has asked a judge to stop prosecutor Fannie Willis from charging him. But the court didn’t agree with him. It has to do with the 2020 US Presidential Election. The Court voted unanimously to throw out the petition that asked them to stop the probe into the possible meddling in the election.
The court turned down the plea
In a five-page decision released Monday, the state court didn’t agree with Trump’s claim that his civil rights had been violated. It was a very quick decision by the court, which came just three days after Trump’s lawyers filed a plea to stop Fulton County District Attorney Fannie Willis from bringing charges against him. Willis has been looking into Trump since 2021 because people say he tried to change the results of the presidential election. It showed that Democrat Joe Biden won the ruling state by a small amount over the Republicans.
In its five-page order, the court said that Trump’s lawyers had left out important facts, which lead the court to step in. The court said that Trump’s original case didn’t have all the facts needed to show that Willis wasn’t qualified.

Trump filled out the form
Explain that Donald Trump tried to stop the district attorney from being charged for his acts during the 2020 election. Trump’s legal team said that Fulton County District Attorney Fannie Willis and her office shouldn’t be involved in the investigation, and that the special grand jury report should be thrown out.
Trump was said to have broken the law
Please tell Willis that this is being looked into since 2021. He has said that she might ask a grand jury to charge her in the case next month. During the 2020 presidential race, Donald Trump is said to have broken the law.
In its ruling, the court said that a similar case is still being heard in Trump’s home county of Fulton. The judges said that Trump’s plea to stop Willis didn’t have the facts or the law it needed.

The judge said that Trump’s rights had not been broken
The Court decided that “there was no violation of the defendant’s constitutional rights and no structural flaw in the Grand Jury process.” This meant that there was no reason to hide or throw out the Grand Jury’s report. The attack on the former president happened as Trump’s lawyers tried to stop a court case that was supposed to happen in the state. Willis had said in a letter to the sheriff of Fulton County
That she would say if she had done anything wrong between July 11 and September 1 of this year. Because of this, this was said. to give the sheriff time to get ready for a high-profile trial’s security needs. Trump’s lawyers said that the letter made his case even more “urgent.” Even though it also said that asking for help from the Georgia High Court was a long shot.
